dial lamp 6.3V 0.1A

dear friends I have a problem about dial lamp.I have a philetta radio and it has 6.3 volt and 0.1 ampere lamp.I didn't find 0.1ampere lamp.I find 0.3 ampere lamp. will I put a resistor.if it is O.K what value resistor.

Hello Inecik,

with a resistor, the 0.3 A lamp will probably give off poor light. The 0.3 A 6.3 V lamp will not be damaged at correct voltage, so you should try the lamp without a resistor. If an overload occurs in the mains transformer (or anywhere else), then just the fuse will be blown.

I have the same problem. It's hard to find the right bulb! You should look for a 6 V, 0.1 A lamp in a bike shop, because it's often used in bike lights. Then you can use a resistor of 3 to 5 Ohms.
